Hello,

I am Dawn Grooters, and I am glad you are here. I am a Midwesterner who loves to smile, runs for fun, enjoys quiet time and journaling.

My career in the Gift & Home Industry started in 2003 as a buyer for 6 years, and then transitioned in a sales career in 2009. As an outside sales rep with rep agency in the Gift & Home industry, my goal was to help earn an income for my family and have flexibility to be a mom who could volunteer in her kids’ classrooms. But one day after leaving an appointment with a retailer, I received a phone call that changed my life. My friend called to tell me that my son, was in the hospital and it didn’t look good.  As I was drove, I was crying and praying for God’s will to be done. This was fresh on my heart and in the depths of my soul, that’s all I could pray for. About half through my drive, my husband called to tell me our son had passed away… Life as I knew it would never be the same after that phone call.

I knew I could not be an outside sales rep any longer so by God’s grace I became an inside sales rep so that I could be at home with my 2 other children, continue healing, and still have an income. I quickly learned, inside sales is not like outside sales. In the beginning, I made a lot of mistakes but I was determined to figure it out, because I had too. I thought, what if I there’s a way to be in front of customers when you can’t physically be in front of them. So for years, I used phone calls and emails to build customer relationships and those activities turned into sales and those sales generated millions of dollars for a company which led me to training other people to do inside sales.

Now, I work with businesses in the Gift & Home Industry to increase sales to connect with more customers through relationship-based inside sales. My approach to inside sales is not dialing for dollars or telemarketing, it is building strong customer relationships through consistent communication that adds value to customers.

It was a phone call that changed my life and now I help people, just like you, to use phone calls to improve their business.

Broken Vessel is a culmination of my years of experience doing inside sales and using what I learned through conversations with thousands of retailers and sharing it with businesses that want to connect with more customers. We focus on building strong relationships with wholesale vendors, sales reps and retail customers. Our goal is to maximize sales through relationship-based inside sales that communicates value-added information with customers consistently.
